SUPPLEMENT FOR 793B TRUCK ENGINE Caterpillar

NOTE: Before removing and installing the personality ratings module from the electronic control module, refer to the topic "Programming New Electronic Control Modules" in the Electronic Trouble Shooting module, form SENR5191, for further information.

1. Remove the four bolts, cover (2) and the O-ring seal from electronic control module (1). Check the condition of the O-ring seal beneath cover (2) and replace with a new one if needed. For purposes of reassembly, the torque for the bolts holding cover (2) is 1.36 N·m (12 lb in).

2. Remove personality ratings module (3).

3. Install personality ratings module (3) in the reverse order of removal.
