The 2P4005 Lube Filter needs to be removed from dealer inventory. The seam that is formed at the top of the can may leak. The can and retainer should be rolled together forming a tight seal.During assembly a worn tool was used, allowing the seal to be formed incorrectly. This could cause the filter to leak oil, in as little as 10 minutes after the initial use.The possibility exists for a catastrophic failure of the filter, allowing the loss of all engine oil, leading to the loss of an engine. These filters are mainly used in offroad trucks.
