Certain 1R0751 Fuel Filters need to removed from Parts Stock and from machines in dealer inventory equipped with 3114 and 3116 Engines with 1R0751 Fuel Filters.
Action Required
Remove all 1R0751 Fuel Filters with a date code of 1994 from Parts Stock and from machines equipped with 3114 and 3116 Engines with 1R0751 Fuel Filters in dealer inventory that were shipped from the factory prior to April 15, 1995. The date code information is found in the following locations:
1. On the master box, the date code is printed as MMDDYY. Remove all 1R0751 Fuel Filters in master boxes with a date code ending in "94".
2. On the individual yellow parts box, the date code is embossed as MMDDYY.Remove all 1R0751 Fuel Filters in yellow boxes with a date code ending in "94".
3. On the filter itself, the date code follows the NUMERALKOD date code configuration. Remove all 1R0751 Fuel Filters with a six-digit code date code ending in "DR".
NOTE: TEPS/MEPS dealers are reimbursed for defective Parts Stock by returning the defective Parts Stock to their administering Caterpillar dealer for replacement.
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all 1R0751 Fuel Filters removed from Parts Stock and machines in dealer inventory.
NOTE: US and Canadian Dealers Only - When submitting a Parts Stock claim use 99Z00007 in the Product Identification Number Field.
Parts Disposition
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
