- (1-Rework Procedure)
Rework Procedure
1. Make certain the engine is running at operating temperature, with the correct regulator (thermostat). The thermostat should be a 1118010 Regulator which is rated at 195 degrees F. If using a 9U5828 Thermometer, the temperature out of the water manifold at the regulator area should be approximately 175 to 178 degrees F.
2. Check to see is there is acceptable water flow out of the heater core.
3. Check the correct routing of the heater lines. With the 3306 engine, the supply line to the heater comes from the engine oil cooler bonnet and the outlet from the heater returns to the manifold at the water pump housing. On the 120H, 135H and 16H Motor Graders, refer to the lines group in the parts book.
4. Visually inspect the heater core to determine if it was correctly manufactured. See Illustration.
5. Install the correct heater core tube configuration.
