NOTE: This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS8434" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
NOTE: This Revised Service Letter replaces the September 16, 1995 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the TERMINATION DATE.

Rework Procedure
1. Assemble 8 spring-loaded retainers as shown in Illustration 1.
A. Press the 4H6996 Pin into top of 1171646 Tube.
B. Insert the 1171647 Spring into the bottom of the 1171646 Tube.
C. Insert the 1013587 Pin into the bottom of the 1171646 Tube.
D. Press another 4H6996 Pin into the hole in the 1013587 Pin.
2. Remove the existing eight retainers from the tractor. See Illustration 2.
3. Refer to Illustrations 3, 4 and 5 for locations to place the new spring-loaded retainers. Illustration 3 contains the weld specifications.
