Usage:
3406, 3408 and 3412 Engines in All Applications
Description of Change: The temperature at which the new water temperature regulator will open is 180°F (82°C) on 3406, 3408 and 3412 Engines in all applications. The former regulator opened at a temperature of 175°F (79°C). This change was made to give hotter coolant to the cab heater.
Also, the new regulator, like the former regulator, has a maximum leakage rate of 50 cc per minute at the main valve with a 30 psi (207 kPa) pressure difference across the valve.
Adaptable As: Direct replacement.
