Complete Set Of Contact Points For Dial Indicators Is Now Available In One Group

Usage:

A set of contact points from .12" (3.0 mm) to 3.00" (76.2 mm) long is available in the 5P7264 Indicator Contact Point Group. The contact points are made of a hardened steel for longer service life. The contact area is polished (smooth) to prevent damage to the part that is to be measured. All the contact points have standard AGD 4-48 threads so they can be fastened to a dial indicator. Illustration 1 and the chart that follows show the contact points in the 5P7264 Indicator Contact Point Group:

NOTE: A 5P7276 Storage Container is also a part of the 5P7264 Indicator Contact Point Group. It holds all the contact points to prevent loss or damage. The 5P7276 Storage Container can also be used as the service replacement for the containers used in the 9S240 Rack Setting Tool Group and the 3S2954 and 5P6524 Engine Timing Groups. The 5P7276 Storage Container is longer than the containers used in the other groups. If the 5P7276 Storage Container is used as a replacement, it will be necessary to make a modification to the storage area in the box assembly. The cutouts must be made longer or deeper.

The contact points shown in Illustration 2 and the chart that follows are available separately from the Parts Department. All have AGD 4-48 threads except where shown, and can be added to the 5P7264 Indicator Contact Point Group.
