Hardened Washers Now Used Between The Bolt Heads And The Engine Front Support To Keep These Bolts Tight

3304 and 3306 Engines in All Applications

Description of Change: The front support on most engines is held to the front cover by bolts. During normal operation of the engine, the heads of these bolts can cause wear to the surface of the front support. Because of this wear the bolts can become loose. To prevent this condition, hardened washers are now used between the bolt heads and the front support. Because of the added thickness of the washer, longer bolts are used for compensation.
