Description of Change: New thrust washers (see illustration) are used in the differential groups on the above machines.

The new thrust washers have four tangs and a smaller inside diameter to prevent thrust washer rotation and damage to the differential case. Also, the beveled edge on the inside diameter of the washers will improve the flow of lubricant in the differential group.

The former thrust washers had two tangs and no beveled edge on the inside diameter of the washer. In some applications, the thrust washers could rotate and damage the differential case.

Adaptable As: The new thrust washers are direct replacements for the former thrust washers as shown in the chart.

NOTE: Before installing new thrust washers, apply 5P960 Grease to the surface of the thrust washer that contacts the gear.
