New Retaining Ring Used In Carrier Of Torque Converter{3127,3101}

Description of Change: A new, solid retaining ring is used in the bearing carrier of torque converters on the above machines. The retaining ring holds a sleeve assembly and bearing in the carrier. See the illustration. The former retaining ring was a spiral-type ring. The new retaining ring has a stronger groove retention force that helps keep it from rotating and gives it greater thrust capacity.
Adaptable To: The new 9W3136 Retaining Ring is a direct replacement for the former 2M3827 Retaining Ring.
