Snubber Used To Protect Fuel Pressure Switch{1274}

Usage:

825C, 826C Compactors;
980C Loaders;
824C, 776 Tractors;
777 Trucks Equipped With An Electronic Monitoring System (EMS Panel)

Description of Change: A sintered bronze snubber is used in the fuel filter supply line on the above machines. The snubber (see illustration) is used to prevent low frequency pressure pulses from being transmitted from the fuel transfer pump to the fuel pressure switch. These pressure pulses can cause a failure of the diaphragm in the fuel pressure switch, and allow fuel to leak out of the switch body.

Adaptable To: The 7S3795 Snubber is used as shown in Chart A.

This change is adaptable to earlier machines as shown in Chart B.

NOTE: When a 7S3795 Snubber is installed in the fuel line, it is recommended that a new 3T6962 Fuel Pressure Switch be used.
