Adapter And Seal Guide Make Assembly Of Water Pumps Easier{0622,1361}

Reference: "Disassembly And Assembly Procedures For The 1W6446 Water Pump" on page 2 of the May 17, 1982 Service Magazine told how to make a seal guide and adapter. These tools are for use during assembly of the water pump. The tools are now available for parts service.

6V6158 Adapter and 6V6159 Seal Guide.

The adapter is necessary to install the roller bearings. Use of the adapter will prevent damage to the roller bearings during installation.

With the use of the seal guide, the seal will not turn wrong side out when it is installed.

The 6V6158 Adapter and 6V6159 Seal Guide can be used on both the 1W6446 Water Pump (canceled) and the 2W1223 Water Pump. See the article "New Water Pump Uses New Seal and Improved Impeller" in this Service Magazine.
