Usage:
All Generator Set MUI Engines With EMCP II
On page 26 of the Service Manual Module; SENR5809-03 Electronic Modular Control Panel (EMCP II) For MUI Engines, under the "Setpoint Programing" topic, Setpoint P14 is missing. The complete text of P14 "Low Oil Pressure Shutdown At Idle Speed" follows.
P14 - Low Oil Pressure Shutdown At Idle Speed:
This setpoint tells the GSC at what oil pressure to declare that a low oil pressure shutdown fault exists with the engine at idle speed (the engine must have been running for at least nine seconds and the engine speed must be less than the oil step speed). The factory default is 70 kPa (10 psi). The value is selectable from 20 to 336 kPa (3 to 50 psi) in increments of one.
NOTE: When oil pressure drops to within 34 kPa (5 psi) of the P14 setpoint, and oil pressure alarm is issued by the GSC and the optional alarm module. When oil pressure is greater than the P14 setpoint, the GSC activates the EGR (K1) relay which can be used to tell the electronic governor to go to rated speed. When oil pressure is less than the P14 setpoint, the GSC deactivates the EGR (K1) relay which tells the electronic governor to go to idle speed.
