PROBLEM
The 144-0803 Front Wheels on certain 797 and 797B Off-Highway Trucks may develop cracks in the wheel well. Raised markings contribute to cracking thus removal of the raised markings will reduce the potential of cracks developing. NOTE: Grinding off the raised markings is recommended while the wheel is on a truck since this will reduce the potential of cracks developing. Grinding off the raised markings while the wheel is at rebuild is recommended. This will reduce the potential of cracks developing after being placed on a truck. |
