VIBRATORY SYSTEM Caterpillar

Operation

Usage:

A. Vibratory System "OFF" - (S/N 792 thru____________________)

1. When the vibratory system is off the vibratory pump (A) (which is connected to the engine by a flexible coupling) draws oil from the tank (B).
2. Because the solenoid valve (C) is open the hydraulic oil takes the path of least resistence which is through the solenoid valve (C) and back to the tank (B).

B. Vibratory System "ON" - (S/N 792 thru____________________)

1. When the vibratory system is operating oil is drawn from the tank (B) to the pump (A).
2. The solenoid valve (C) is closed blocking oil flow from the valve to the tank and forcing oil flow from the pump (A) to the vibratory motor (D) turning the vibratory motor.
3. From the vibratory motor (D) oil is sent through the return line to the hydraulic oil filter (F). From the hydraulic oil filter the hydraulic oil is split with a portion of the oil going through the oil cooler (E) and back to the tank (B). The other portion of the oil goes directly back to the tank (B) through the check valve (G).
