Reference: Engine News, January 1987, Page 4, "Fuel Injector Reference For 3500 Family Of Engines. Engine News, July 1988, Page 3, "Two 11 mm Injectors Available For Parts Service," for earlier 3500 Family Of Engines.
10.7 mm, Type 1 fuel injectors and all component parts used to service the 10.7 mm, Type 1 injectors are being discontinued. The 10.7 mm, Type 1 fuel injectors and their components parts will no longer be available when the current parts stock is exhausted. The 10.7 mm, Type 1 fuel injectors may be directly replaced by new 11.0 mm, Type 2 fuel injectors or Remanufactured fuel injectors. If a Remanufactured fuel injector is ordered, you may receive either a Type 1 or Type 2 injector. The chart lists the former 10.7 mm, Type 1 fuel injectors along with their new replacement 11.0 mm, Type 2 and Remanufactured fuel injectors.
NOTE: All of the 10.7 mm (Type 1) fuel injectors listed in the chart, except the first one (the 7W9996 Injector), are directly replaceable by 11.0 mm (Type 2) or remanufactured fuel injectors. A 7W9996 Injector can be directly replaced by a 0R1755 Injector. But, if a 0R1755 in not available, it can be replaced in complete sets only by either the 7C9581 Injectors (11.0 mm, Type 1) or the 0R0995 Injector (Remanufactured). When a complete set of 7C9581 or 0R0995 Injectors are installed in place of 7W9996 Injectors, the fuel and high idle settings must be changed. See the footnote1 after the chart.
