3508 Generator Sets And Industrial Engines
Description of Change: An elbow and a connector have been added to the inlet hose in the jacket water heater lines on 3508 Generator Sets and Industrial Engines. The same hose and 45° elbow are still used. However, the hose has been moved forward and away from the radiator support for the folded core radiator. See illustration. This prevents the hose from rubbing the radiator support.
Adaptable To: The additional 65707 Elbow and the 1L5987 Connector can be added to all earlier engines with the folded core radiator and 4W4005 Mounting Group for the jacket water heater. Connect the same hose as shown to the front connection in the water pump adapter, after removing the 45° elbow from the front end of the hose. Move the threaded cover to the front connection. Reuse the 45° elbow at the rear of the hose.
