Engine Serial Number Plate Has New Location

Usage:

3208 Industrial, Marine, And Generator Set Engines

Description of Change: The serial number plate for engines in the above applications is mounted on the curved surface of the block, above the bore for the injection pump drive. See Illustration 1. The new location makes it easier to read the data on the plate. A longer, narrower plate is used with adhesive backing to fit on the new location.

The engine serial number is still stamped on the right rear face of the block. Illustration 2. Formerly, the serial number plate was also near this location.
