当发动机被起动时，进排气系统里残存的燃气可能被点燃。 可能造成人身伤害和/或财产损失。 起动一台含未燃烧的燃气的发动机之前，从进排气系统清除这些未燃烧的燃气。 参阅"起动发动机"有关清除未燃烧燃气的章节。 |

发动机正常运转时，紧急停机按钮处于弹出位置。 为了紧急停机，按下紧急停机按钮。 这样就关断了燃气供给和点火。
在发动机停机之后，确保为发动机运行提供外部支持的所有系统是安全可靠的。

在找到迫使发动机紧急停机的问题并予以纠正以前，不要起动发动机。 |
该按钮被锁定时，发动机将不能重新启动. 拉出按钮或顺时针转动按钮可使按钮复位。 弹簧加载的按钮会回到弹出位置。
起动发动机之前，复位控制系统。 将发动机控制开关转到 "OFF/RESET"（断开 / 复位）位置。
用户也可以提供其它手段进行紧急停机操作。 有关操作说明，请参考原始设备制造商提供的文献。
不正常的操作会造成发动机停机。 燃料供应会被切断但点火装置可能没有被关断。 紧急停机和超速停机会导致点火装置关断。
发动机控制模块将针对造成这种现象的原因生成一种指示符。 事件代码或诊断代码可通过 Cat 电子技师（ET）获得。 关于事件代码和诊断代码的更多资料，参见故障诊断与排除。
