New Valve Assembly And Seal Used In Fuel Transfer Pump
Usage:
All 3406B Industrial, Marine and Generator Set Engines
Description of Change: A new valve assembly and seal are now used in the fuel transfer pump group on the above engines. This new valve assembly is stronger and has a larger flow area. This larger area will permit better flow of fuel in cold ambient temperatures. A new seal must be used with the new valve assembly. This seal is made with a new material and is a different thickness.
The 1W5912 Guide and Tappet Assembly shown in the Parts Books for these engines is not correct. The correct part is a 1W5910 Guide and Tappet Assembly.
Adaptable As: The new parts are a direct replacement for the former parts as shown in Chart A. The new parts are in effect as shown in Chart B.
