Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the alternator.

Note: Inspect all O-rings, seals, and gaskets for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.

  1. Remove flange bolts (1) at both ends and remove clip (2).

  2. Remove tube (3).

  3. Remove bolts (4) and remove clips (5).

  4. Remove tube (6).

  5. Disconnect harness assembly (18) and position out of the way.

  6. Disconnect sensors (7) and bolts (8).

  7. Remove intake manifold (9).

  8. Disconnect hose (10) and set off to the side.

  9. Remove bolts (11), bolts (12), bolts (14) , and remove the elbow assembly (13).

  10. Remove bolts (15).

  11. Attach Tooling (A) at position (X). The engine oil pump (17) weighs approximately 55 kg (121 lb).

  12. Remove bolts (16) and remove the engine oil pump (17).
