Engine Operation
正確操作和保養是獲得引擎最長使用壽命和經濟效益的關鍵。 遵循本操作及保養手冊內的指示操作，可將作業成本降至最低並達到最長的引擎使用壽命。
附註未能點火時，請勿運轉引擎。 在未能點火的情況下運轉引擎時，若狀況未解決，將造成引擎不平衡以及導致引擎和/或聯結器損壞。
在引擎運轉時應經常觀察儀表。 定期將來自儀表的資料記錄至日誌。 將資料與運轉正常引擎之技術規格作比較。 經常比較資料可協助偵測引擎性能的變化。
調查任何顯著的儀表讀數變化。 監控引擎運轉並於發差異時採取行動。
引擎在負載下運轉時應經常檢查儀表和傳動裝置。 以完全負載運轉時，引擎運轉時間可以延長。
長時間在減低的負載（低於 30%）狀態下，運轉會導致機油消耗量增加和汽缸積碳。 長時間在減低的負載狀態下，運轉也可能導致燃油自排汽系統噴濺而出。 這可能會導致功率耗損及/或性能低落。
為了維持引擎效率和性能，請按時為引擎施加完全負載。 引擎亦可在負載水平超過 30% 的狀態下運轉。 這些狀況可燒掉汽缸內的多餘積碳。
長時間在低負載狀態下運轉後，請盡可能在關閉引擎之前，在全負載狀態下運轉引擎約 30 分鐘。 引擎在全載狀態下運轉可燒掉下列組件上的積碳：汽缸、活塞及閥門。
如果在極冷環境中以低負載運轉引擎，建議開啟水套水加熱器。
