Usage:
All 3300 Series Direct Injection Engines Equipped With A Scroll Fuel System
Description of Change: A new beaded gasket and cover is available for all 3300 Series Direct Injection Engines equipped with a scroll fuel system. The new beaded gasket has more resistance to leakage than the former gasket. The new cover is thicker than the former cover and has more resistance to distortion.
NOTE: Engines that are equipped with a fuel shutoff solenoid do not have a cover.
When the new cover is used, it will be necessary to use longer bolts to hold the cover in place because the cover is thicker than the former one.
Adaptable To: The new 2W5447 Gasket is a direct replacement for the former 4N117 Gasket. The new 2W5448 Cover is a direct replacement for the former 4N8507 Cover. If the engine is equipped with a shutoff solenoid, a new cover is not necessary.
If the new cover is used, use two S1615 Bolts to hold the cover in place instead of the S1614 Bolts that were used to hold the former cover in place.
