Description of Change: New engine software has been released to correct the non-functional "STOP" button issue.
A parameter called "Fuel Enable Input" has been added in the Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) Service Tool configurable parameters screen under the Configuration Group. Refer to Illustration 1. Setting this parameter to "ON" will allow the engine Electronic Control Module (ECM) to look for the "CAN Fuel Disable" signal from the Electronic Modular Control Panel (EMCP). Functionality of the "STOP" button on the EMCP will be restored.

Adaptable To: The new software is adaptable back to the first production of the above listed engines.
The change is effective at the factory with the engine serial numbers listed in Table 1.
Refer to Table 2 for a list of the new software.
