Front Screen and Air Filters

The UPS750 has 14 air filters and screens located on the front doors of the cabinet. Six air filters and screens are used for the SIO cabinet. Eight air filters and screens are used for the flywheel cabinet.

The air filters are replaceable units that are accessed from the front side of the door. The air filters are electrostatic units that can be washed and reused. Filters that need replacement must be ordered from the manufacturer.

Note: The two filters that are directly beneath the touchscreen, on the system input/output SIO cabinet, do not require changing.

The screens are removable from the outside of the unit. The removable screens allow the air filters in the door to be replaced without opening the cabinet door.

Air Filter Removal

Note: Filters can be replaced while UPS is functioning, however there is high electrical voltage and current present behind cabinet doors.

  1. Locate the screen you want to remove.

  2. Loosen the screw from the top and bottom corner of the front screen opposite of the hinged side. Swing the front screen open to reveal the air filters.

  3. Remove the air filter.

Air Filter Installation

  1. Place the air filter, arrow inward, in the screen depression prior to installation of the screen.

Note: Be sure that the filter is dry before installation in the door.

  2. Close the front screen and tighten the screws in the top and bottom corners opposite the hinge.
