Accelerometer

The accelerometer (1) is located in the flywheel cabinet on top of the flywheel. The accelerometer reads vibrations of the flywheel. The accelerometer sends signals to the flywheel interface board which then gets sent to the APC3 board.

Removal

1. Refer to Systems Operation, Test and Adjust, UENR4695, "Internal Component Pre-Removal Steps". Perform the internal component pre-removal procedure to shut down the system and to gain access to internal components.

   Note: The flywheel cabinet must be de-energized before removal steps can be performed.

2. Remove eight bolts from the top cover of the flywheel assembly.

3. Remove bolt that holds the accelerometer plug in place.

4. Unplug the cord for the accelerometer.

Installation

1. Plug in the accelerometer cord.

2. Tighten the bolt to secure the accelerometer cord.

3. Attach the eight bolts to the top cover of the flywheel assembly.
