Cabinet Doors

The front doors to the cabinets are hinged on the left or right side depending on the cabinet. The doors allow access to the inside controls and components of the cabinet. There are 12 bolts holding each door to the metal frame of the cabinet and are accessed from inside the cabinet.

Removal

  1. A hex key must be used to open the cabinet door. Open the cabinet door by turning the top and bottom door locks counter-clockwise until the lock stops.

  2. Open door by puling on the door pull.

  3. Remove any cables that are attached to the front door in those cabinets with front door controls. Each cable is labeled for location purposes. Verify that the labeling exists and is legible.

  4. Locate the 12 bolts attaching the door to the metal frame.

  5. Loosen the top and bottom bolts but do not remove the bolts. Remove the remaining ten bolts from the cabinet frame using a 3/8 inch socket. Lift off the door from the top and bottom bolts through the notched opening.

Installation

  1. Align the door hinges to the cabinet.

  2. Locate the 12 threaded rivets on the outer surface of the vertical portion of the cabinet frame.

  3. Open the door to the left or right as if the door was already installed.

  4. Install the top and bottom 1/4 inch bolts in the frame but do not tighten.

  5. Hang the hinge so that the hinge rests on the top and bottom bolts.

  6. Install the remaining 1/4 inch bolt into the frame.

  7. Tighten all 12 bolts only finger tight. Adjust the door position as needed so that the door closes properly.

  8. Carefully open the door so as not to lose the positioning and tighten the 12 bolts to 40 lb-in with a 3/8 inch socket.

  9. Check that the door closes and locks properly and make further adjustments as needed.
