Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.
Note: Check the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Note: Lubricate O-rings and seals with lubricant used while in operation.
- Install bearing (11) into mounting plate (9). Use tool (A) to install snap ring (10) .

- Install the O-rings on double bushing assembly (6). Install the double bushing assembly on mounting plate (9) .

Note: O-rings (4) that are located at end plate (3) and located at mounting plate (9) of gear pump housing (1) are identical. The O-rings located at both ends of double bushing assembly (6) are identical. The double bushing assemblies located at both ends of gear shafts (7) and (8) are identical.
- Install drive gear shaft (7) and install driven gear shaft (8). Install two pins (5) on mounting plate (9) .
- Install O-rings (4) on gear pump housing (1). Install the gear pump housing on mounting plate (9) .

- Install the O-rings on double bushing assembly (6). Install the double bushing assembly into gear pump housing (1). Install two pins (7) on the gear pump housing.
- Install end plate (3) on gear pump housing (1). Install four bolts (2) .

- Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 70.5 ± 2.5 N·m (52 ± 1.8 lb ft).
End By: Install the gear pump.
