Start By:

  1. Remove the piston motor.

  1. Remove four bolts (2). Remove pilot valve cover (3) from port plate housing (1) .

  1. Remove two O-rings (4) .

  1. Remove seven bolts (5). Remove port plate housing (1) .

  1. Remove pilot valve (8), and remove bushing (9) .

  1. Remove lubrication tube (6A) and (6B) from port plate housing (1). Remove two pins (7). Remove bearing race (10) .

    Note: If installed, shims (not shown) are located between bearing race (10) and port plate housing (1) .

  1. Remove washer (11) from pilot valve (8). Remove spring (14), retaining ring (15), ring (16), spring (13), and retaining spring (12) from bushing (9) .

  1. Remove ring (17) and remove O-ring seal (18) from pipe (6A). Repeat this step for pipe (6B) .

    Note: The lubrication tube seal kit consists of ring (17) and O-ring (18) and a sealing washer (19). The ring and the O-ring are located on each lubrication tube (6A) and (6B). One washer is located in the bore of the port plate housing (1) for each lubrication tube.

  1. Remove piston (20) and piston (21). Remove port plate (22) .

  1. Remove barrel assembly (23) from motor housing (24) .

    Note: Do not scratch the polished surface of the barrel or the swashplate.

  1. Remove piston seal (25) from piston (20). Repeat this step for the other piston (21) .

  1. Remove rod (26) from swashplate assembly (27) .

  1. Use a suitable press and tooling in order to remove bearing race (29) and bearing (30) from shaft (28) .

    Note: If necessary, apply heat to bearing race (29) to remove. If necessary, apply heat to bearing (30) to remove.

  1. Remove swashplate assembly (31) from shaft (28) .

    Note: Mark the position of each piston to the barrel for assembly purposes.

    Note: Do not scratch the polished surface of the swashplate on swashplate assembly (31) .

  1. Remove four bolts (32) and two plates (33) from swashplate assembly (31) .

  1. Use a suitable press and tooling in order to remove bearing (34) and washer (36) from shaft (28). Remove barrel (35) .

    Note: If necessary, apply heat to bearing (34) to remove.

    Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

    Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

    Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

    Note: Mark the orientation of the retaining ring (37) .

  1. Use a suitable press to release the spring pressure. Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (37) from barrel (35) .

  1. Remove washer (40), spring (39), and washer (38) from barrel (35) .

  1. Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (41) .

  1. Use a suitable press and tooling in order to remove seal (42) from motor housing (24) .

  1. Use a suitable press and tooling in order to remove two cradle bearings (43) from motor housing (24). Remove two pins (44) .

  1. Use a suitable press and tooling in order to remove bearing race (45) from motor housing (24) .

  1. Remove nine pistons (46) from washer assembly (47) .
