Start By:

  1. Remove the auxiliary water pump.

  1. Remove plug (1), O-ring seal (2), ball valve (3), from discharge manifold (5).

  2. Remove O-ring seals (4) from the supply and the discharge ports.

  3. Remove bolts (6) and washers (7) from discharge manifold (5).

  4. Remove discharge manifold (5) and O-ring seals (8).

  5. Remove nut (9) and washer (10) while holding drive gear (11) with Tooling (A).

  6. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove drive gear (11).

  7. Remove bolts (12) and washers (13) from drive-end body (14).

  8. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove drive-end body (14) from intermediate body (15).

  9. Remove bearing (16) and lip seal (17) from drive-end body (14).

  10. Remove cup plug (18).

  11. Use Tooling (C) and a suitable press in order to stationary portion of seal group (19) from drive-end body (14).

  12. Remove O-ring seal (21).

  13. Use a strap wrench to turn impeller (20) CCW while holding shaft assembly (22) with Tooling (D) and a soft faced vise.

  14. Remove plug (23), bolts (25), and washers (24) from intermediate body (15).

  15. Remove intermediate body (15).

  16. Remove port plate (26) from intermediate body (15).

  17. Remove O-ring seal (27) and distance ring (28).

  18. Remove cover (29) from bearing housing (30).

    Note: Cover (29) will be damaged upon removal.

  19. Remove bolts (31), washers (32), retaining ring (33), and retaining ring (34).

  20. Remove shims (35).

  21. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove bearing housing (30)

  22. Remove bearing (36) and lip seal (37) from bearing housing (30).

  23. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove shaft assembly (38) from non-drive end housing (39).

  24. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove port plate (40) and rotating portion of seal group (41) from shaft assembly (38).

  25. Use Tooling (C) and a suitable press in order to remove rotating portion of seal group (41A) from non-drive end housing (39).
