Engine News SEBD9787, 8 June 2012, "New Fuel Injectors Are Used on Certain 3500 Engines". Disregard the previous article. Effectivity has been removed, refer to the article that follows.

Description of Change: The new fuel injectors are more robust than the former fuel injectors. The new fuel injectors have been designed to reduce thermal expansion of the valve and body at higher temperatures. A new fuel injector spring is used with the new injectors that is more robust also.

Adaptable To: The new fuel injectors are a direct replacement for the former fuel injectors. Refer to Table 1 for new part numbers.

The new fuel injectors are adaptable back to first production of the engines and generator sets listed above. Table 2 lists effective serial numbers.
