Sealing of the Ignition Harness on Certain G3300 and G3400 Engines {1408, 7555}

Usage:

G3406 4FD
Engine:
G3304 (S/N: N4F1-UP)
G3306 (S/N: G6X1-UP)

G3408 (S/N: 6NB1-UP)
G3412 (S/N: 7DB1-UP)

If any of the following engine harnesses are exposed to rain and moisture, leaks may develop if the harnesses are not sealed properly:

The entry of moisture into the harness leads to corrosion that will prevent engine operation.

Perform the following recommendations in order to limit or eliminate moisture entry into the harness.

Typical wiring harness

Make sure that fittings (1) are tightened to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

If leaks are suspected, seal the joint around fitting (2) with 8T-9022 Silicone Gasket or equivalent.
