Typical Assembly (1) Actuator Open Position (2) Actuator Closed Position (3) Valve Open Position (4) Valve Closed Position (5) Mark on Shaft |
(A) Reference angle (full open to full closed position) ... 75 degrees
(B) Reference angle ... 49 degrees
(C) Reference angle ... 26 degrees
(D) Rod adjusted length ...
(E) Reference angle (mark on shaft to horizontal) ... 88 ± 2 degrees
(F) Reference angle (mark on shaft to horizontal) ... 13 ± 2 degrees
Use the following procedure to assemble the linkage:
- Assemble two rod ends to rod as shown in Illustration 1. Ensure equal engagement of the rod ends. Adjust the rod ends to achieve a center to center distance of the following value:
Length (D) ...
308.4 mm (12.1 inch)
Use the following procedure to install the levers and linkage assembly:
- Rotate the fuel valve shaft until the mark on the shaft is at the following value above horizontal:
Angle (F) ... 13 ± 2 degrees
The fuel valve is now in the full closed position.
- Install the lever onto the fuel valve shaft. Point the lever at an angle below horizontal at the following value:
Angle (B) ... 49 degrees
- Rotate the actuator shaft counterclockwise as viewed from the shaft end. Stop rotating when the internal stop is engaged. The actuator is now at the full closed position.
- Install the lever onto the actuator shaft as shown in Illustration 1. Point the lever at an angle below the horizontal at the following value:
Angle (C) ... 26 degrees
- Connect assembled rod end onto the fuel actuator lever. Ensure that fuel actuator is rotated into the full closed position.
- Connect assembled rod end onto the fuel valve lever. Ensure that the rod end will attach with the fuel valve in the closed position.
Use the following procedure to verify the angles of the mark on the valve shaft:
- When actuator is in the full open position, the mark on the valve shaft is at the following angle:
Angle (E) ... 88 ± 2 degrees
- When the actuator is in the full closed position, the mark on the valve shaft is at the following angle:
Angle (F) ... 13 ± 2 degrees
- Tighten all hardware. Recheck the linkage. Compare the linkage to Illustration 1 fuel valve open and closed positions. If a correction is required, reposition lever on the actuator.
