Problem

High-pressure wash water can penetrate wiring harness braids and collect in the cap of the Cat ET service connector causing pin corrosion.

Example of corroded connector

Solution

Remove the Cat ET connector cap and drain any water that may have collected. Dry the connector thoroughly and clean any corrosion from connector pins.

Use tie straps to secure the connector in a (face up) position.
