One-Way/One or Two Pump - Electric Control: Parameter Adjustment

Usage:

352F-VG A9J
These procedures cover specific work tool parameter adjustments that are common to improve work tool operation.

Note: The adjustment procedures assume that each electronic component was calibrated correctly. If the component was not calibrated, the adjustment procedures may not work.

Reference: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Work Tool Parameter - Program" for additional programming instructions and parameter descriptions.

Speed of the work tool is fast during a single operation

The following adjustments can be performed.

  1. Pump flow to the work tool may need adjustment.

    1. The appropriate flow setting for the work tool may be too high. Decrease the value of the following parameter until the desired work tool speed is met.

      "Atch #1 Flow Setting" (Parameter # 27) - XXX [L/min]

  2. Spool shift pressure for the attachment control valve may need adjustment for a single operation.

    1. The value of this parameter may be too high. Decrease the value of the following parameters until the desired work tool speed is met.

"Atch #X Max Ext Press" (Parameter #30, #40, and #50) - XXXX [kPa]

Note: For reference, this parameter is set within the range of 800 kPa to 2000 kPa.

Speed of the work tool is fast during a multiple operation

The following adjustments can be performed when the speed of the work tool is fast while operated along with a boom, stick, bucket, swing, or travel function.

  1. Pump flow to the work tool during multiple operations may need adjustment.

    1. The multiple operation flow setting for the work tool may be too high. Decrease the value of the following parameter until the desired work tool speed is met.

      "Atch #1 Multi-Ope Add Flow" (Parameter # 28) - XXX [L/min]

  2. Spool shift pressure for the attachment control valve may need adjustment for a multiple operation.

    1. The value of this parameter may be too high. Decrease the value of the following parameters until the desired work tool speed is met.

"Atch #X M-Ope Max Ext Press" (Parameter #32 and #42) - XXXX [kPa]

Note: For reference, this parameter is set within the range of 800 kPa to 2000 kPa.

  3. The parameter values for the enhanced multiple operation may need adjustment.

Note: This parameter setting is only available when "Multi Ope Atch Valve Limit" (Parameter # 14) is Enabled.

Note: This adjustment procedure is effective for only multiple operation with Boom UP, Stick OUT, and Swing.

    1. The parameter values for the enhanced multiple operation may be too high. Decrease the value of the following parameters until the desired work tool speed is met.

"Single Mode Max Ext Press" (Parameter #15) - XXXX [kPa]

Set this parameter within the following range.

      • "Single Mode Max Ext Press" (Parameter #15) greater than or equal to "Atch #X M-Ope Max Ext" (Parameter #30 and #40)

      • "Single Mode Max Ext Press" (Parameter #15) less than or equal to "Atch #X M-Ope Max Ext" (Parameter #32 and #42)

Speed of the work tool is slow during a single operation

The following adjustments can be performed.

  1. Pump flow to the work tool may need adjustment.

    1. The appropriate flow setting for the work tool may be too low. Increase the value of the following parameter until the desired work tool speed is met.

      "Atch #1 Flow Setting" (Parameter # 27) - XXX [L/min]

Note: Pump flow to the work tool may exceed the upper limit flow when increasing the flow for single operation.

  2. Spool shift pressure for the attachment control valve may need adjustment for a single operation.

    1. The value of this parameter may be too low. Increase the value of the following parameters until the desired work tool speed is met.

"Atch #X Max Ext Press" (Parameter #30 and #40) - XXXX [kPa]

Note: For reference, this parameter is set within the range of 800 kPa to 2000 kPa.
