Track Carrier Roller - Remove and Install - VM Undercarriage
Removal Procedure
- Release the tension on the track. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual , " Track Adjustment - Adjust ".

Personal injury or death can result from grease and oil coming out of the relief valve. Grease and oil are under high pressure coming out of the relief valve and can penetrate the body. Do not watch the relief valve to see if grease is escaping. Watch the track or track adjustment cylinder to see if the track is being loosened. Make sure the vent holes are clean before the tension is released on the track. |
- Use a suitable lifting device in order to lift the track (1) from track carrier roller (2) .

- Place suitable cribbing under tracks (1) . Loosen bolt (3) that holds track carrier roller (2) .Use two people in order to remove track carrier roller (2) . The weight of track carrier roller (2) is approximately 43 kg (95 lb).

Installation Procedure
- Install track carrier roller (2) in the reverse order of removal.
- Adjust track carrier roller (2) to Dimension (Z) . Dimension (Z) is 6.80 mm (0.267 inch).

Typical Example
Note: Make sure that the shaft of track carrier roller (2) and the bore in the mounting bracket on the undercarriage frame assembly are clean and free of dirt.
