Improvements Made To Fuel Injection Pump And Governor Group{1253,1281}

Usage:

All 3300 Series Engines With Sleeve Metering Fuel Systems

Description of Change: A fuel injection pump housing assembly with stronger lifter guide pins and new lifters with a wider groove for the pin is now used on 3300 Series Engines equipped with sleeve metering fuel systems. The stronger (larger diameter) pins will have a longer service life. The new fuel pump housing assemblies and lifters are designed to use larger diameter lifter guide pins.

Adaptable As: Shown in the chart. For replacement of the former housing assembly, order the new housing assembly and lifters. For replacement of the former lifter, order the new lifter and use the former 8N977 Pin. Do not use the new (larger diameter) 8N984 Pin or the earlier (6N5325) stainless steel pin in the former housing assembly. Do not drill a larger hole in a former housing assembly to install the new larger diameter 8N984 Pins.
