Improved Outlet Pipe for the Turbocharger{1052, 1353}

Usage:

C6.6 N6D
Engine:
C6.6 (S/N: N6D1-1189)

Introduction

There have been a number of isolated issues with 274-1943 Pipe . The 274-1943 Pipe has been installed too close to the battery. This may melt the battery. An improved 295-0465 Pipe As has replaced 274-1943 Pipe . The improved 295-0465 Pipe As will provide sufficient clearance between the battery and the 295-0465 Pipe As . Illustration 1 shows 274-1943 Pipe in position. Illustration 2 shows 295-0465 Pipe As in position.

    Typical example

  1. Loosen band clamp (2) .

  1. Rotate the compressor housing (1) of the turbocharger from twenty degrees from the vertical axis to thirty degrees from the vertical axis.

  1. Tighten band clamp (2) finger tight.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install 295-0465 Pipe As to the turbocharger. Ensure that 295-0465 Pipe As is correctly aligned. If necessary, adjust the compressor housing of the turbocharger.

  1. Tighten band clamp (2) to a torque of 13 N·m (9.6 lb ft).
