Improvement To 2P5535 Stud Extractor Group {0700,4210}

Usage:

The 2P5535 Stud Extractor Group is used by many dealers for removal and installation of 3/4", 7/8", and 1" studs. The group has now been improved to increase the number of applications, particularly when removing or installing rim mountings on 785 and 789 Trucks.

The 1 3/4" flats on the 2P5497 Body, part of the stud extractor group, have been replaced by a 1 5/8" hexagonal design. This body holds the individual extractors during stud removal and installation. The hexagonal body allows the tool group to be used inside cavities where a socket and extension are required to reach the stud.

This change is especially helpful where access to the stud is limited. For example, on 785 and 789 Trucks, outer wheel studs can be replaced at the rim mountings on the final drive without removing the tire and rim assembly. Inner wheel studs can be replaced by removing only the outer dual. In either repair, the time to remove and install one tire and rim assembly is saved.
