Seals In Variable Timing Advance Available For Parts Service{1272}

Usage:


3306, 3306B Truck And Industrial Engines

The variable timing advance (9N5760 Weight Assembly) on the above engines uses two face-type seals. Replacements for both of these seals are now available. See illustration for the location of these seals.

Reassemble the timing advance and seals according to the Service Manuals, SEBR0504-01 for 3306 Truck Engines or SEBR0545-01 for 3306B Truck Engines. This is particularly important if the advance unit has the dowels. See Page 6-109 in SEBR0645-01. (This unit is not covered in the industrial engine Service Manuals.
