Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
Note: Identify the position on the tube assembly in order to show the correct position of the tube assembly. Plug all tube assembly. Cap all connections on the oil filter base assembly.
- The engine can have the ability to auto start. Ensure that the power supply is isolated before any service or repairs is performed.

- Disconnect hose assembly (1) and hose assembly (2) from oil filter base (2).
Note: Plug hose assemblies. Cap all connections on the oil filter base assembly.
- Remove bolts (3) from oil filter base (2).
- Remove oil filter base (2) from bracket (5).

- Ensure that the oil filter base is clean and free from wear or damage. If necessary, replace the oil filter base.
- Position oil filter base (4) onto bracket (5).
- install bolts (3) to oil filter base (2). Tighten the bolts to a torque of
44 N·m (33 lb ft) . - Remove the plugs from hose assemblies. Remove the cap from connections on the oil filter base assembly. Connect hose assembly (1) and hose assembly (2). Tighten hose assemblies securely.
- Install a new engine oil filter (6) and check the level of the engine lubricating oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil Level - Check" for the correct procedure.
