Problem
Password protection installation cost is charged for certain component replacement on the machines listed above.
Password protection installation cost is charged for the following components when replaced or uninstalled during troubleshooting :
- Reinstallation of optional transmission high/low switch or 8 button feature key pad
- Replacement of Machine Engine Control Module (ECM)
Solution
Submit a goodwill claim for the total amount of password protection cost incurred to reinstallation original machine configuration components following any troubleshooting, along with documentation to prove troubleshooting through the goodwill claim or Service Information Management System (SIMSi) entry for your machine.
Note: Machines which do not have the affected optional parts installed from the factory or have no record of the password protection fee being paid during retro installation, should not claim back costs. Expense like labour, travel, parts should not be claimed with the password protection cost.
