Bulldozer Lift Cylinder Mounts - Remove and Install

Start By:

  1. Remove the bulldozer lift cylinders.

  1. Remove bolts (1) and position bracket assembly (2) out of the way.

  2. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to yoke (3). The weight of yoke (3) is approximately 50 kg (110 lb).

  3. Attach Tooling (B) to pin (4) (not shown).

  4. Remove pin (4) (not shown) and yoke (3).

  5. Remove lip-type seal (5).

  6. Remove bushings (6) and (7) (not shown).

  7. Repeat Step 1 through Step 6 for the bulldozer lift cylinder mount on the opposite side.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the bulldozer lift cylinder mounts in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Bushings (7) and (6) must be pressed in all the way to the machined steps in the housing bore diameters.

    2. The inner diameter of bushing (7) (not shown) should be 89.114 ± 0.095 mm (3.5084 ± 0.0037 inch).

    3. The inner diameter of bushing (6) should be 114.179 ± 0.095 mm (4.4952 ± 0.0037 inch).

    4. Pack the housing with Tooling (C).

    5. Lubricate lip-type seal (5) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
