Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire. To help prevent possible injury, turn the start switch off when changing fuel filters or water separator elements. Clean up fuel spills immediately. |
NOTICE |
---|
Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over any disconnected fuel system components. |
NOTICE |
---|
Use a suitable container to catch any fuel that might spill. Clean up any spilled fuel immediately. |

- Turn off the engine.
- Slowly loosen plugs (7) and (8).
- Connect the 1U-5470 Engine Pressure Gp into the unfiltered fuel pressure tap (7).
- Connect the 1U-5470 Engine Pressure Gp into the filtered fuel pressure tap (8).
Test Procedure - Transfer Pump and Manifold Pressure
- Start the engine.
- Operate the engine at rated speed and load.
- Note the pressure readings.
If the pressures are not within the specifications, refer to Troubleshooting, "Fuel Pressure is Low".
