Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Due to cracked and broken welds, the 261-4223 Fan Guard may fail on the machines listed above. This failure will result in excessive vibration and noise from the finger guard.

Solution

In the event of failure, replace the 261-4223 Fan Guard with the same part. For repeated failures, replace the 274-1973 Shroud with the same part.

Check the fan motor hoses, fan motor mountings and all the hose routing for hard rubs which may cause vibration.

Ensure that the engine mounting bolts are tight.
