Loading Operation with ALFA Installed
Activating the machine's steering and work tools can be hazardous when personnel are working around the machine. Before moving the machine, make sure the machine is on firm level ground. Engage the parking brake. Make sure the area is clear of personnel before activating any work tool. Failure to follow this instruction could result in injury or death. |

NOTICE Adjust height of forks and or ALFA to gain the necessary clearance as the rolling stock is maneuvered onto and up the aircraft ramp. It may also be necessary to adjust the height or angle of the aircraft loading ramp by adding shoring to accommodate loading operations.

Show/hide tableIllustration 4 g06125933 Show/hide tableNOTICE Spotter must be aware of critical clearance (A) (for example, rear of trailer clearance at aircraft ramp).
- Maneuver forklift in a forward direction to aircraft ramp.
- Adjust height of hitch as necessary to ensure that rolling stock will not come in contact with aircraft ramp.

- Position rolling stock where directed onboard aircraft, stop forklift and apply service brakes.
- Secure rolling stock from movement. Adjust height of forks as necessary, disengage hitch, and then back forklift away from rolling stock and off aircraft as directed.
