This Special Instruction, M0075396 provides the procedure for installation of the platform on the D10T2.

Note: The platform arrangement has a modular design. By removing 376-3718 Guardrail As, 499-5274 Frame As - Center, 543-1688 Grate As, 504-6758 Bracket As - RH, and all associated hardware, the platform arrangement will only cover half of the fuel tank. See Section "Installation of the Optional Platform and Railings on D10T2 Track-Type Tractors" starting with Illustration 34 for instructions referring to the installation of this version of the platform arrangement.

After assembly is completed, prepare the machine for service. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for proper machine preparation.

Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.

Reference: Refer to Torque Specifications, SENR3130 for all tightening specifications.

Note: Do not coat any fasteners with oil or grease prior to tightening. Instructions are given when lubrication is required.

Note: The platform arrangement has a modular design. By removing 376-3718 Guardrail As, 499-5274 Frame As (CTR), 543-1688 Grate As (RH), and all associated hardware. The platform arrangement will only cover half of the fuel tank.

  2. Install RH frame assembly (7), Center frame assembly (8), and LH frame assembly (9) as shown in Illustration 5 and Illustration 6.

  3. Secure RH frame assembly (7) to the fuel tank with 2 bolt assemblies (10). Refer to Illustration 5.

  4. Use 24 bolt assemblies (10) to secure RH frame assembly (7), Center frame assembly (8), and LH frame assembly (9) onto the previously installed brackets.

  5. Use 20 bolt assemblies (11) to fasten 3 plates (12), plate assembly (13), and plate (14) to RH frame assembly (7), Center frame assembly (8), and LH frame assembly (9).
