Start By:

  1. Separate the track.

  2. Remove the bulldozer and C-frame.

  3. Remove trunnion.

  1. Use Tooling (C) to raise the rear of the machine. Raise the machine so the roller frame will clear the track. Install Tooling (B).

  2. Position Tooling (A) as shown. Use Tooling (A) to raise the front of the machine. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information.

  3. Remove hand rail (1).

  4. Remove plug (2). Use Tooling (D) to remove plate (3) and the O-ring seal.

  5. Use a suitable lifting device and a chain to apply some lifting force to track roller frame (4).

  6. Remove nuts (5) and the washers. Remove bolts (7) and the guards (6). Lower the track roller frame (4) 8 cm (3 inches).

  7. Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (E), as shown.

  8. Remove and discard bolts (8). Remove retainer (9) and the O-ring seal.

  9. Use Tooling (E) to remove track roller frame (4). The weight of track roller frame (4) is approximately 1860 kg (4100 lb).

  10. Remove seal (10) from pivot shaft (11).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install track roller frame (4) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Install new bolts (8). Tighten bolts (8) to a torque of 300 ± 40 N·m (220 ± 30 lb ft).
