Some low volume and special application track shoes for D6H, D6R, and D6T tracks are no longer manufactured. The change affects various widths and types of Heavy Duty, SystemOne, and Hybrid track shoes.

Existing parts inventory on most parts will be exhausted and then Service-Replaced with a similar shoe part number to fit the machine. See Tables 1,2, and 3.

(1) Clip both, if desired.
(2) Cut off 25 mm (0.98 inch) for both ends, if desired.
(3) ES shoe is replacing MS shoe on new track groups. For field repairs, do not mix ES and MS shoes in the same track. If an MS shoe is needed for a field repair, then modify a similar size MS shoe.

If the Service-Replacement shoe width or type is not desired, then a similar shoe can be ordered and modified (either in width, center hole, or grouser clip) to duplicate the existing shoe.

Reference: UC Parts Sales Kit (PECP3003-08) for additional track shoe options.

The maximum shoe width that will fit a typical D6R/T non- VPAT machine is listed in Table 4. Non-VPAT machines require non-offset shoes.

Table 4
D6R/T non-VPAT configuration  Maximum non-offset shoe width
STD, XL  610 mm (24 inch)
XW  762 mm (30 inch)
LGP  914 mm (36 inch)

D6R/T VPAT machines have various shoe configurations due to clearance requirements with the blade C-frame. Shoes for VPAT machines may be either offset or non-offset. It is necessary to verify existing overall shoe width and offset amount prior to ordering or modifying new shoes.

The minimum recommended clearance between track shoes and the nearest point of the tractor is 50.8 mm (2.0 inch)

If creating offset track shoes, the maximum difference between inboard width and outboard width from the shoe center line is 50.8 mm (2 inch).
