  3. Retighten clamps (1) to (10) at 4.5 ± 0.7 N·m (40± 6 lb in). See Illustration 2 for 950M and 962M sales models. See Illustration 3 for 966M and 972M and 966M and 972M XE sales models. See Illustration for 4 980M and 982M sales models.

  4. If clamp (6) is leaking on the 950M and 962M or on the 980M and 982M, replace with the 124-6256 Hose Clamp.

Note: Replace all worn or damaged clamps.

  5. If using a new clamp, torque the clamps to 7.5 ± 1 N·m (66 ± 9 lb in). Wait for 10 minutes, and retighten at 4.5 ± 0.7 N·m (40± 6 lb in).

  6. Clean coolant fluid residues.

  7. If required, top off the shunt tank with coolant between Min and Max level indicators.

  8. Run engine and verify that no leak reappears.

  9. Reassemble the DEF box top cover plate.
